PENRITH police and the State Crime Commands Homicide Squad are investigating the death of a man at Glenmore Park on Sunday night, February 7.
Residents in Sheoak Place called Triple Zero (000) about 10.15pm after hearing a number of gunshots.
NSW Ambulance paramedics and police found a 42-year-old man inside the home who had been shot. He was unable to be revived.
A perimeter was established and a search of the neighbourhood conducted by police from Penrith and St Marys as well as the NSW Police Dog Units.
Scene of Crime officers, as well as detectives from Penrith and the State Crime Commands Homicide Squad, were called to the scene. Police are now searching for three men seen leaving the house shortly after the shooting.
