Cranebrook High School will receive a new $450,000 security fence as part of the State Government's $14.7 billion education spend.
They hope this will be the end of criminals entering grounds to kill animals in their agriculture enclosure.
NSW Premier Nathan Rees visited the local school this afternoon flanked by Member for Penrith
Karyn Paluzzano to deliver the good news.
Mr Rees said the new security fence will wrap around the whole school, protecting it and the adjacent
Braddock Public school. He said this will be done ``as soon as possible''.
Parent Council president Vicky Banks said the new security fencing will not be able to be cut and is very difficult and dangerous to climb or jump over.
Ms Paluzzano and school community said they were ecstatic that their ``Stamp you feet for Cranebrook'' petition and Facebook campaign helped to secure this grant.
Ms Paluzzano said there were more than 1000 signatures for a funding petition for new fences after attacks on animals in the school's agricultural enclosures recently.
One student who particularly enjoyed the news of the security fences was Vice Captain Hayden Davies. As an agriculture student, he saw the aftermath of the animal attacks and was deeply affected by it.
``It felt like friends were killed,''he said.
``We get chickens we hand raise every year and some of them were killed and what we saw was very bad and sadistic.
``I hope this will make sure no more animals get killed in the future.''
