Penrith's first female mechanic rolls up her sleeves

25 Nov, 2009 12:32 PM

The first car workshop in Penrith to receive Female Friendly accreditation has welcomed the first female

mechanic to its team.

Briana Wilkins, from Katoomba, has relocated to join the team at Production Automotive in Penrith.

``Briana is a brilliant asset,'' said Melinda Leyshon, co-owner of the workshop.

``Her skills complement ours and we couldn't be happier.''

Ms Wilkins said: ``I feel as though I am at home.''

``I'm looking forward to hosting information nights in the near future.''
