YELLOW Pages Australia has hired 10 people for its new office opened at 111Henry Street, Penrith, this week. The company has also announced its inaugural community partnership with Great Community Transport, donating funds for vehicle maintenance.

Directory doings

DID you know that in Penrith households and businesses receive 89,000 Yellow Pages directories delivered free, that the directory is used on average for 50,000 searches weekly and that searches are made on yellowpages.com.au 32,700 times a week?

How to get ahead

THE Business Planning for Dummies home-based meeting sessions for microbusinesses take a practical approach to planning.

What dreams do have?

How do you translate them into goals and strategies?

What does a business plan look like?

What do you do with it?

These and more questions will be answered in a practical session with Veechi Curtis, author of Small Business for Dummies.

A selection of her books will be available to buy on the day.

Details: November 19, Nepean Room, Penrith City Council, 9am-11.30am, $5 for members, $15 for non-members. RSVP: rsvp@homebasedbusiness.org.au
