The torch of remembrance burns brightly

11 Nov, 2009 03:14 PM
We'll always remember them: Cadet Brett Lynch, 21 ACU Safe Base Bravo (left), Sergeant Melanie Monaghan from Glenbrook RAAF base, veteran Ross Burns, retired Navy

Warrant Officer Des Harper and Reverend Ted Walker before the Penrith RSL Sub Branch's Remembrance Day service at the Penrith war memorial, Memory Park, yesterday. Those died while serving their country were remembered on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the

11th month, recalling the World War I armistice in 1918.
