The Voice of Penrith: Annika Loobeek

17 Mar, 2009 10:20 AM
HI! I'M Annika Loobeek and I come from Nepean High and I've just started year 7.

This is how my transition into high school felt and what it was like.

The move to high school for me was pretty smooth, but of course I had many different worries going through my head on that first day.

Here is the worst and first thought and worry that came into my head.

It was this will I fit in?

Even though I had best friends, I wanted so much to make more friends.

I felt sick thinking that someone would tease me and make me an outcast, but I always knew that if I had any troubles my year adviser Miss Gardiner would sort them out.

Now that I've become really used to high school it is really great to extend on my knowledge that I have learnt in primary school .

I've already been chosen as an SRC member and have made it into the extension group.

I hope that all students that have started year 7 this year have had a smooth transition into high school.
