THE Sydney Bears capped off a great weekend with a 3-2 win over The Newcastle North Stars at the Penrith Ice Palace.
The North Stars claimed they had a goal disallowed but referee Ivan Manco said he didn't see it, even at two metres away.

The second period was largely uneventful but with forty seconds to go Rob Stark scored on a power play after Roberto Francini was sent off for slashing.
The Bears once again revived after conceding the goal then some explosive North Stars defence meant that the Bears were held off.
