Beautiful vases from Sapphire Wood Furniture will help the McGrath Foundation place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and will increase breast awareness in younger women.
Exquisitely handcrafted by Chinese women in a small province outside of Guangzhou, this unique pottery collection will be donated by Alice Wu, a director at Sapphire Wood Furniture.
"The gift of giving pottery in China represents friendship and peace," Ms Wu said.
"The staff and friends of Sapphire Wood Furniture want to give something back to the community as a thank you for the last 10 years of customer support."
The sale of this collection will help the McGrath Foundation to raise money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities and increase breast awareness in younger women.
The McGrath Foundation was co-founded in 2002 by Australian cricket player Glenn McGrath and wife Jane after her experience with breast cancer.
Peter Petreas, the Caringbah showroom manager of Sapphire Wood Furniture, said that it was important to support the McGrath Foundation and its valued work.
"In the Sutherland Shire area we're lucky to have the support of local McGrath Breast Care Nurse Kim Wright," Mr Petreas said.
"We're proud to support the McGrath Foundation so that other families experiencing breast cancer across Australia can have the same access to optimal care."
The handmade pottery will be exhibited at Sapphire Wood, Caringbah. The event will be launched on Wednesday, January 30 and will run for one month with all exhibition proceeds donated to the McGrath Foundation.
