But what if there was an app to help choose the perfect furniture item for any room of your home?
Well, now there is one!
Dare Gallery is offering the ideal solution to furniture shopping with the launch of its free app which is especially designed to help the home owner find and buy the furniture of their dreams.
Dare Gallery general manager Chris Burke said the decision to launch the app to help take the guess work out of furniture shopping.
"The app will give customers a tool to use to allow them to actually see how their new furniture will look in their home before they buy," Mr Burke said.
"Many people worry if the furniture they see in store will suit their own home so this helps create a level of comfort around the decision making process and helps people make considered choices.
"At the end of the day, it's all about making sure people are 100 per cent happy with their purchases and they are taking home furniture that looks great in their home and that they will love."
The new app uses "augmented reality".
For example, you can click on a piece of Dare Gallery furniture, take a picture of a room in your home, and the furniture will appear in the shot so that you can see how it will look in your home.
"It is very exciting," Mr Burke said.
"We are the first furniture retailer to use augmented reality in Australia and we have received great feed-back from so many of our customers already."
Dare Gallery specialises in designing, manufacturing and retailing a high quality, unique range of furniture and home accessories.
"There are many decisions to make when choosing furniture for your home and many people feel overwhelmed by these choices and uncertainties," Mr Burke said.
"Once you bring a piece of furniture home, you have to live with it and so the stakes are high.
