Still active and generous at 97

ROLLED oats, meat, vegies and fruit is the diet that has kept 97-year-old Cora Miller on her feet.

As a young signals lieutenant during  World War II Mrs Miller hasn’t had the easiest of lives.

"Nine days after I married my husband he went to war and was later captured in Italy where he spent the next three and a half years as a prisoner of war," she said.

"Even though I went through a hard stage in life I have been blessed with beautiful friends and family," she said.

Now, 74 years later, Mrs Miller is still an active member of the community knitting trauma bears for the Red Cross, Legacy Widows club member and regular donater to the Wrap With Love organisation
