TO celebrate the Rowing World Cup, the Nepean River will be transformed into the perfect place for a siesta.
Mayor Mark Davies said Tench Reserve would host pop-up Sunday Siesta events in March to activate the river in the lead-up to the World Cup.
"The river bank will come alive with entertainment," Cr Davies said.
"I encourage you to set aside some time and come on down on Sundays March, 10, 17 and 24.
"Bring a picnic, listen to the music and soak up the atmosphere, lazing in the sun in an iconic location."
Sunday Siestas run from 2pm to 6pm.
