Laura Payne’s artwork, Inveniret Libertatem, is a collection of works consisting of charcoal drawings, ceramics and printmaking.
It is being displayed at the Art Gallery of NSW until April 14 and she has received accolades from the Minister for Education, and the head of the Julian Ashton Art School.
Saskia Hopman has her work at the Armory at Sydney Olympic Park.
Her work was a series of sculptures based on her travels through South East Asia with the school. These were turned wood bases, based on the top of temples and ceramic pieces folded like origami, to resemble Vietnamese hats, boats, and lotus flowers.
