INNER Forest on High Street has won this year’s Shop Window competition by tapping into the Rock and Rowing theme of the Penrith Festival on Saturday and connecting this city to the World Rowing Down Under Regatta.
The Inner Forest team won $200.
Aeysha Tavares, Cambridge Gardens, also won $200 when her name was drawn as one of the people who nominated the business she felt was the best display from the entries received by the City Centre Association, the main organiser of the event.
The presence of international rowers in Penrith has boosted business through accommodation, shopping and restaurant patronage.
The World Rowing event will also be held in Penrith in 2014.
