POLICE have charged an 18-year-old man over the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Penrith last Saturday.
The boy was stabbed in his abdomen during a fight in Kareela Avenue at about 1.20am.
He was rushed to Westmead Hospital where his condition was described as stable.
Later that day police arrested the 18-year-old man in St Marys and charged him with reckless wounding.
He was conditionally bailed and appears in Penrith Local Court on August 8.
